Road trips through beautiful (and desolate) lands me grateful for good company. And 3G, when I can get it.
Currently in Wichita Falls, about 2.5 hours from home. As much fun as I’ve had on vacation, I’m ready for my own bed and some routine.

Trip Tale Number One.
Stopped in a town called Muleshoe, TX for a restroom break.
Side note: I feel bad for anybody who comes in after us at a pit stop (there are 18 of us total).

Status: eclipse watching.
The moon is completely covered now.
It’s just as awesome as I expected. And I couldn’t have asked for more perfect conditions: clear skies, not too cold. Living in a rural town allows us to see all the stars, too! Watching it with my nan and mom makes it all the more special.

What a good night!
Our paintings turned out AWESOME, Daria was so much funnier than it was when I was a kid, and the wine was tasty. It’s been a long time since I had a glass of wine. I think I deserved it. When we were finished painting, we sprawled out across the couch and floor in the living room and took turns playing songs we admired for their meaningful lyrics.

So FYI when I’m eating at a restaurant and every waiter or waitress plus managers come by our table every 5 mins to get a quick stare at me, it becomes a bit obvious after the first 3 people.
Not to sound harsh and I do understand if you see something different and you want to look, just don’t make it so I feel like the main attraction at the circus. Thanks :)
